Gendai Tomomaru

Top quality koshirae with shirasaya

This is a very good quality Gendai-to signed "Shin Shu Ueta ju Tomomaro Saku Kore", it is dated "Showa 17th year june", June 1942.

The koshirae with this sword is in very good condition, it has had recent tsukamaki also. The tassle is near mint condtion, there is a family crest and the scabbard is spotless. This along with the sword in shirasaya make an excellent display piece thats needs nothing to complete.

The sword is in recent polish, the habaki is new with gold plating, and the shirasaya is a couple of years old I am told. All in all this is a very nice pakage that needs no work, just simply admire it.

The blade exhibits many wonderful activities such as large and small nie, sunagashi, bright thick nioi, and a very nice choji hamon. The hada is very nice on this sword. The masame hada is clearly visible in the shinogiji.

Nagasa 25 inches, thickness at munemachi is 7mm, Motohaba 31mm, sakihaba 21mm.
