TANTO SIGNED ...MITSU IN MOUNTS

Nice clean example of a Koto tanto in old koshirae, signed ....mitsu. The blade is 7&15/16" long in old polish, with a wellmade two piece habaki of shakudo and gold foil, the suguha hamon is nie deki with sunagashi, kinsugi in the habuchi, and chikei within the jigane.could it be a rai blade ????? The saya is a dark black brown lacquer in good shape, but has two travel bruises.The tsuba is 2"by 1 1/2" with wisteria vines encircling the rim. The fuchi is nanako shakudo with a raised boar in a run. The kozuka motif is a farmer playing a flute to his oxen with his farming scythe and harvest basket in a field, with a signed older blade.
