Mumei, NTHK papers to Echizen Shigetaka

29,75inches, ubu

The Condition of this katana was very poor when I received it, the pitting was deep, there were many compounded bends, chips in the ha, and chips in the kissaki. As you can see the result of the polish was very good, one minor area of pitting was left as it was not worth the loss of metal to remove them.
The sword itself is very stunning with beautiful activities. I had submitted it for shinsa in October 2004 while the blade was in the foundation stage of being polished, I finished the polish in December 2004.
I am sorry for the quality of the before and after pictures, I had many high quality pictures of this sword prior to being polished, but as things do happen, the photos were erased from my hard drive. I do think that the condition of the blade is evident by the old pictures in any event.
CURRENTLY IN THE "SWORDS FOR SALE" SECTION.
