Koto Katana
Freshly polished shinogi zukuri Katana, new solid silver habaki and new shirasaya.
This is an old katana that has most likely had an extensive history in the battlefield. It has been polished many times but is still a solid blade.
The blade has been shortened atleast twice and has 3 mekugi-ana. The temper is intact with one spot near the monouchi that is weak - but intact. There is some loose grain and some areas of shingane. But please remember, this one was used, it wasn't a gift from one high ranking person to another and never saw action.
The temper is beautiful with nie, nioi, sunagashi, chikei etc.
This sword is in fresh polish, professionally made shirasaya and solid silver habaki.
Now is your chance to get an old koto period katana fully restored with no surprises for a good price. I am clearing out my odds and ends and am offering everything at low prices as you have seen over the last few months. Like everything else this blade won't last long.
