Kanabo, also pronounced kinbo in Japanese was a swordsmith school in Yamato province, present Nara pref. It is thought that the school developed from Tegai School or Senjuin School. The workmanship of Kanabo School is slightly different from the Yamato style. Sometimes the temperline resembles to Sukesada or Kiyomitsu in Osafune province so it was called Nara-Bizen in Edo period. The school was also good at forging excellent spears.
